‘Words That Bind’ is an ongoing project that seeks to unite museums and bring public awareness to their great contributions to the community. The work brings together all of the museums in one area of America, both large and small. It involves the creation of a short term installation that is photographed and dismantled within a week, day and sometimes even an hour. Each word contains roughly 500 balloons all blown up by mouth, by the artist, giving focus to the performative nature of the work.
After, the documentation of the collection of installations will be shown in one space, bringing the museums and their messages together, with the intention to bridge the gap between local museums and fine art spaces, and encourage collaboration and unity across the institutions that bring knowledge, awareness and an understanding of heritage to the community.
